I would suspect that he will try to sell you the engine. I don't know what you are asking him to do. Are you wanting him to set it up for you on your boat, guarantee that nothing will ever go wrong, or cut your grass?
What I have experienced with the NEW motors that I have owned ..is in the manual..Mine told me to take it to the dealer after a certain amount of running and get serviced and adjusted. My dealer adjusted the shift cables and throttle cables after they stretched a bit from use and made sure all the nuts and bolts were tight and things were working properly. The next dealer reccomend in the manual was for a long time running after that.
