Just bought an Xpress 1440 and want to install a couple of swivel seats with removable posts. Any recommendations for make/model and equipment?

The 1440 comes with two bench seats right? if you want removable seats on the benches the easiest way is to get two bench clamps with swivels and select whatever type of seat design/color you like that fits the common 4 bolt pattern. Walmart has an inexpensive selection of folding seats and also carry the swivels and bench clamps.

The bench clamps are not a quick disconnect but 4 nuts loosened and you can remove and also slide it up or down the bench as you see fit.

If you shop around you might be able to find some quick disconnect bench clamps but I am not sure of this.

Good Luck

To use pedastal seats you need a floor which a jon boat doesn't have so to get your seats in you would first need to put in a floor which will cut down on your weight limit.

What he is talking about just clamps to the top of the bench and they are designed specificly for jon boats, pedastal seats don't work really well in a boat like yours because they move the center of gravity up and make the boat really tippy and a 1440 is kinda tippy anyhow so you don't want to do anything to make that worse.

If you have a subfloor that is bonded to the hull then you could glass in some wood where you want your seats and mount the seats to it.
Maybe mount it center and not very high. Maybe that could work.

Take a look at http://www.akmccallumco.com/store-seatacess.htm site. It has a few alternatives for jon boat seat mounts as well as other accessories. But 5150 is right, watch the CG, don't go too high. Anyway, A&K has some easy install mounts that work well.
