New kicker - can it hook up to my remote?

So, I went and bought an '86 8hp Johnson to replace my heisted 15hp kicker. I think it'll be an all-around better trolling motor for my boat. So, at least there's some kind of positive outlook. Anyway, looking at it, it's not real clear if I can hook my remote console up to the throttle mechanism. I'd sure like to, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Is there a remote kit, and how the heck does the throttle cable route?
