Hello everyone. My name is Brian, I am 29 yrs old and I purchased a new 2008 Larson 208 LXi, 5.0L Mec MPI 260hp, a couple months ago for my family to enjoy on Lake Ontario as we live 3-4 minutes away from the lake. Last nite while my wife and daughter were out for a ride a strange thing happened when shifting the throttle lever from Netural into Drive and from Netural into Reverse. After I moved the throttle from N into D and began to slowly push the lever forward the engine stalled out completely and I had to re-start it. It re-started with no issues and ran totally fine. Later that evening when my wife was shifting the vessel from N into R and slowly moving the lever backwards the engine stalled again. It was like the engine was not getting enough fuel?? This it have never happened before and I do not know what to make of it. The engine is multi-port fuel injected so I don't understand why the motor would stall? Any advice would be great. Is there an adjustment to the throttle cable that needs to be made, adjsutment to the motor & ideal? I do know that when shifting from N into D you do have to puch the throttle lever a good amount (it must travel for a few inches) before any gas goes to the motor? Please feel free to contact me any time with any help. Thank you for your time everyone. blanglois@leojroth.com
