Hi there. New to the forum and found you after picking up a 1975 Supersport this weekend. She's 16ft, pea green and has had a lot of work done on her already. New floors, all new canvas and windows, a 1996 90hp saltwater Merc (with 32 hrs on it!) with power trim. The gauges are all newer as well, and the PO added an auto bilge unit and a nice three beam Humminbird fish finder/water temp/depth unit.

Seats are original but in amazing shape, as are the side panels. The seating in the open bow had been done over in the same deep green canvas as the top.

I'm sure that things will surface but I've got what passes for winter in Vancouver BC ( geez - first message and I get a weather dig in there eh?) to clean things and tidy things up.

My previous boating experience was all in Ontario so I'm new to the big water and will be taking that slow and steady with an eye on the marine forecasts and tides. Maybe come Xmas I can talk Santa into a 21st century solution to the charting of the area. Beyond the GPS in the car that will be new to me. Recommendations?

Looking forward to chatting with you all, checking out this site and learning more about this boat.

Here are a few pics. I'll post some more once I get to the inside and wash her down.

Welcome Beezer! Thats a very nice boat. I don't know what to be jealous of first, the motor or guages..maybe the top, just not sure:p I'm sure you will enjoy it but if the weather gets too bad just bring it to me in Va. I'll take real good care of it this winter:rolleyes: Remember, there is no such thing as too many pics..hint.

Welcome to the club. Nice boat you got there. Looks like it will be nice for your side of the SOG. I heard fishing has been off the hook down your way. Are you planning to rig it up for Salmon? If so your SC is an excellent choice for it. In all honesty I?m not so sure on the colour but you will get noticed out on the water and that?s not a bad thing.

Yes - the fishing has been unreal this year, and I plan to get her outfitted with some downriggers. That green is vintage for sure, but I think it might have to go. I'm red/green colour blind and I'd like to know I was seeing my boat correctly. Maybe cream with a little of the green. Depends what I decide to do with the interior. The canvas is a deep green. So - you are out in the Island. Nice to see another westcoaster.

A nice light brown or cream would look great with that top.
But hey I?m a guy and don?t know much about matching colours.
Here is a website that we use to get wind conditions.
http://www.bigwavedave.ca/forecasts.php
It seems to be better the EV Canada for wind forecasting.
They (EV) seem to always predict, ?winds 5 to 15 knots?
Yea great, 5 knots is great day on the water and 15 knots is a wish ?I was standing on shore.?
