Hi everyone, I have learned alot lurking and reading the last few days. Last weekend I bought a used boat. The lady couldn't find title or registration for it, but I think I got a good deal on it (or at least I hope I did). Called the county courthouse and the lady said it wasn't a problem. Just bring in the bill of sale, numbers off the side of the boat, hull ID etc. and it would be fine. Anyway, I have no idea what year model it is and was hoping some of you may be able to help me with it.

It is a Glastron Bayflite V-164 with 120hp Mercruiser engine.

www.classicglastron.com has links for identifying your glastron. You can find it by looking at your model type and going through the years of ads they have for the boats, or read up on identifying by the hull numbers stamped on the transom.

I luv's them glastrons! Very cool. I can assume that things went well getting your boat documented properly.

In Minnesota, if the boat is older than 1978 ( I think ), you do not need a title for the boat. I have a bill of sale, and that should suffice when it comes time to get the tabs for it when it finally is water worthy. I guess with all the boats we have in MN, they figure that it isn't worth their time to track down ALL of the ones older than '78.
