can u please answer a question? I recently read,"The serial number would have told me if it was an EFI or carb motor,and if the powerhead was built by Yamaha or Mercury, but the year model will do,Yamaha powerhead."
Now i just bought/jan2009 a new merc 50 2-stroke and it may have been made in 2007- motor plate. the bolts seem to all be a metric size; is this a merc powerhead and is it made in usa?
2/ also, it has original NKG plugs , but will a cross reference denso do about as well? thanx from TC.
