New Mercury 150 4S or Yamaha 150 4S

Hello,

I've read about both motors and I was curious as to what folks think is the better motor for a triple tube pontoon?

I appreciate any input you can share.

which ever one is cheaper, and has better dealer support nearby. I'm partial to black engines myself............. Suzuki charcoal black that is and the Suzuki 150 is an underrated powerhouse (160+ hp) with steep gears in the gearcase and worth a look if you have dealer support in your area.

Welcome again, "Confused". I'm partial to the Merc's myself, but the new 4-stroke 150 from Merc. is an unproven design at this point in time. I believe the 4-stroke Yammi has been around for nearly 10 years in its current form w/ an excellent reputation. Just food for thought. Good luck !!!
