Just bought a new Merc 15 with the steering co-pilot control. I'm finding the engine very hard to steer even with it set in the loose position, so I was thinking of just disconnecting it.

Anyone else run into this problem and have any other remedies... :confused:

Thanks,
~~~Flat Runner
Thanks rodbolt,
I ended up just loosening the nut about a half turn or so and applied some silcone spray, that freed it right up. Before you had to use two hands to turn the thing now just a push with your pinky is enough.
It does seem like an unneeded attachment. :rolleyes:
~~~Flat Runner
