new motor need to know the year

i just purchased a 25 hp evinrude outboard motor for 120 dollars off craigslist, i was told it was a 78 year but not sure here is the model and serial number,model number is 25602E serial number is E0005257,i just need to know for sure so i can order a service manuel ,as usual thanks in advance for the help

25602 is a 1976 25 hp model

A 1978 model would be 25802, 25803, 25832, 25833, 25852 or 25853
