Ok this is what I have actualy done so far, And to answer a previous question Yes it has 3.5" bore.<br /><br />1)removed casting inperfections on the IM<br />2)Ported the Reed Induction Manifold (I did not do this but it is done)<br />3)polished and smothed right angles in the carb venturies.<br />4) Got ahold of He said "1967" heads that have a very noticable difference in combustion chamber size (smaller)The bolt pattern is the same but I have to fab some coil mounts, No biggie im a machinest.<br /><br />This is what I am going to do<br /><br />1)Boysen reeds<br />2)Bubble exhaust if I can find one<br />3)New prop, Dont know current RPM at wot no tach, dont even know current prop no marks, Could someone give me a general baseline, 19.5ft Alumminum<br />4)1 or 2 size bigger jets if I can get them<br /><br />Here are my questions, <br /><br />1)Do I have to measure Piston/head clearence and if so how?<br />2)Do I have to mess with the timing and if so how and what (advance, Retard)?<br />3)Could someone recomend a Tach for my engine, I am asumming I should have one?<br />Thanks everyone in advance you guys are the Best,wthout this site I would of probibly realy Butcherd this thing.
