OK guys, First I am new to this site and have found it ver helpful. I hope you all jump in and get me straightened out on this one as well.
I have a 1988 45HP that has sat for about 6 years, I have already cleaned out the carbs and relpaced all the fuel lines. New batteries and tried to start her up today and she cranks great. But that is where we stop. I have checked the KILL switch circuit. I disconnected the black and yellow wire at the engine and it did not make a difference. While cranking the engine over I took some voltage readings on the switch box and it reads around 14.5 to 17.5 VDC on the input wires. If I trip the kill switch the voltage drops for these connections. I checked the plugs and they do not have any spark when shorted to ground. I need to know where to go from here. I donot want to drop $200.00 for a new switch box unless the consenus is that that is my problem. Any help would be great!
Thanks
