I have a lead on a 2006 Suzuki still in the crate from a reputable dealer.....motor hasn't been uncrated and they are offering a heck of deal on it. They are going to be offering a one year warranty.....Thoughts??? Leary of a motor that has set that long even if it's never been started.....am i just being over cautious? Looking at this one and a 2013 with 6 year warranty for about 2500 more. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: New Old Stock

So are we talking about a 40hp at half price?

Or a 250 hp with only a 13% discount?

Will they be doing the uncrating, prep, and rigging?

Sorry, it's a 40hp about 50percent discount......they are going to mount rig and test, also price includes controls cables and instruments (tach, oil gauge etc). My concern is that it's been in the crate all these years.

Wouldn't bother me at all. Take the $2500 and buy even more boat stuff.

It still has the factory protection, nothing to be concerned about. It's a brand new 7 year old motor. What's a used 7 year old 40 Suzuki, no controls or instruments go for with no warranty? Grab it!
