New Owner AQ125B / 270D

I just got an 84' Sunbird 19' Cuddy. It is powered by a Volvo/Penta AQ125B / 270D<br /><br />Anyone have a suggestion on the best prop to use? I am not sure if the prop that is on it is stock or not. I will be using the boat for cruising the lake and pulling Tubes and Some wakeboarding. I put a new speedo on it but low and behold the tach is not working so I will fix that tonight. According to the speedo I was running about 30mph WOT

Definitely need accurate tach numbers for this discussion. Take a look at the WOT and Propeller threads in the Engine FAQ section. Info there will help too.<br /><br />BTW, welcome to Iboats.

The stock Volvo prop seems to be the best for my AQ125. I also have used the Michigan Wheel prop, it works but I lost a little at the top end. The Volvo props pitch is a little different but I think they are both 14x19's or close I think the Volvo was 14.25....Hope this helps some
