New powerhead Breakin?

I have just rebuilt the powerhead on my '86-135 HP Mariner. Now I suppose I need to know the recomended procedure for breaking in a rebuilt power head. Before anyone says, "it is just like breaking in a new one", let me say that I've never owned a new one (have had plenty of outboards, but always previously owned). If anyone could help me with this, or point me in the right direction to find the information, I would greatly appreciate it.

double the oil/gas ratio for breakin period!
25 to 1 instead of 50 to 1!

1 to 10 Minutes.
Idle

10 minutes to 2 hrs.
Less than 1/2 throttle (below 3000rpm)

2 to 3 hrs.
Less than 3/4 throttle (full throttle allowed 1 minute every 10 min.)

3 to 10 hrs.
3/4 throttle (full throttle for 2 minutes every 10 min.)

After 10 hrs. full throttle availible

If you have oil injection mix 50:1 in the gas tank and the injection will add the other 50%

Re: New powerhead Breakin?

Thanks for the input guys, that is exactly what I'm doing. My gas is mixed with my oil, and my injection is still hooked up. I also assume that after the 10 hour break in, that I don't have to double the oil any more.
