new prop Fit

bought a new prop for my 1989 Omc seadrive 1.6l on craigslist made by Evinrude he said it came off of an e-tech the prop seems to fit excellent as splines are the same and it’s the same pitch, only issue is the prop is flush with the splines not allowing the end washer under the castle-nut to fit correctly the nut will fit alone but assuming I can’t run with out the plastic washer?

You have the correct Thrust Washer(goes on before the prop is put on)? What brand of prop was on it before?

May need a new thrust washer as I’m using the original it was an oem OMC prop and I bought this one off a newer e-tech

Check with a dealer if there were different Thrust Washers over the years, or prop lines
