New prop needed.

I am looking for a new prop for a 1973 85hp Evinrude (2cyl.). however I can't find a site that sells '73 props. Do I need to look for that specific year or would another year's production be compatible w/ this motor?? The prop will mostly be used for water sports and fishing. Any help would be appreciated. Thnx

Supply more info about your rig. What prop are you running now? What is top RPM with an average load? What are you looking for? A stainless prop or an aluminum?<br /><br />Good luck!

The motor currently has a 13-3/4x15 aluminum prop on it. As for the RPM it runs around 4000 wide open towing 1 150-180lb. skier. The boat has been in storage for about two years after going through a massive hailstorm and we finally got around to patching the holes in her and getting her seaworthy again. How do they rate the amount of pitch/thrust on a propeller? Is it lower number = more thrust/less speed?? <br />Thanks for all the help .
