So I've decided to start calling around for quotes on a new prop shaft for my motor. Curious/wondering if I'm getting the right info as far as price? Low end a place quoted me roughly $750, higher end the guy said he'd check everything else out in the lower and change fluids as well as water pump for around $1,000. Seems steep to me, though I understand the cost of just a new shaft alone let alone labor.... Does this sound right?
