New Solas Prop needs to be ground down to fit?

I just received my new Solas 10" pitch prop and when I went to install it, it doesn't fit inside the prop housing. It's diameter is ~.07" too large where the back of the prop slides into the housing. Has anyone else had this issue and is it common to have to grind props to fit???

It would help to know what size prop and what motor? Its not common to grind to fit.
Perhaps it needs a different thrust washer.?

The motor is a Yamaha 20hp, 4 stroke and the prop is the correct p/n for this model. It's 10" pitch, 9.25 diameter, standard rotation. It looks like poor build tolerance control. Anybody else have this issue?

While this is a prop question it seems more of a yamaha question. You might get more results in the Yamaha forum.

Turns out it's a Solas prop that isn't made to the required specs. I've found others that have had the same issue with Solas aluminum props.
