New Speedo Leaks Water

I've just taken delivery of an '02 Four Winns Horizon 240. At higher speeds (40+) I notice drops of water dripping from under the instrument panel. I am assuming that water is travelling through the vacuum tube and leaking out from the speedometer although I can't see it. Has anyone had this problem and does it require a new gauge?
Thanks, JJR.

You can try to remove the tubing from the guage, cut a half inch off, then re-attach, hopefully getting a better "seal."

Yea, I had it happen to me last spring. First time out, running along (pretty fast) and all of a sudden water started pouring onto the top of my feet!. It was a simple fix (as described above), but I suggest you add 2 small tie-wraps at the hose barb to prevent the hose from slipping off. Also, it would be a good idea to spray some WD-40 onto the electrical connections behind the dash (mine got completely soaked) to eliminate any future corrosion due to the water.

I guess it's possible your speedo gauge is defective, but it's most likely a hose problem.
