Have a 2000 90hp mercury 2 stroke motor.serial number is 1090412wd. I just bought a new stator for it, it will be replacing the old red stator. The old stator had wires that were 2 yellow that connected to 2 yellow on motor..then it had 1 white/green stripe that connected to 1 white/green stripe on motor...then it had 1 green/white stripe that conected to 2 green/white stripe on motor.... THE NEW STATOR HAS 2 SOLID YELLOWS,1 red, 1 red/white stripe, 1 blue, 1 blue/white stripe. I am trying to figure out how to wire these new stator to the motor. I believe the two yellow go to the two yellow on the motor but after that I am not sure what to do

Yes, yellow are for battery charging. Others are ignition.

The service manual for that engine (1998 and newer75/90 electric start wiring diagram....I had a 2002) indicates stator wire color and cylinder position:

Trigger output wiring from trigger coils: Black ground to engine block/battery (-); Purple, Brown, White.

CDM1 Pin C: Purple from Trigger
CDM2 Pin C: Brown and goes a couple of other places so there will be/should be/may be a Y connection prior to going to the CDM
CDM3 Pin C: White from Trigger

Stator high voltage output to CDM:

1 Pin D: White/Green stripe
2 Pin D: Green/White stripe
3 Pin D: Green/White stripe
