New stereo ACC issue

Boat i recently bought (1992 Crownline) still had an immaculate Audiovox MS-200 with tape deck.
the wiring was as follows:
Orange- Power
Black- Ground
4 speaker wires: 2 pos 2 neg

The Orange connected to an orange under dash and operated off of the ACC switch on the panel. So could listen to stereo without key on....and hour meter running. This is what I want to do.

New Pyle stereo hooked up today:
Yellow- Power B+
Red- ACC
Blue- Antenna
Black- Ground
8 speaker wires- 4 pos 4 neg

I hooked the yellow to the Orange line under the dash....that is what the previous Orange on the Audiovox was hooked up to.
I hooked the Red to a red wire hanging with an open but connector from a dash gauge.
Ground to ground.

The issue:
When Yellow was connected to the Orange and I initially left red hanging.
Nothing....no power at all to unit. As soon as I connected the Red to the red under the dash (mentioned above), I had power to unit but ONLY with key on.
I switched the yellow and red...so yellow to red and red to orange....but exact same thing.

Would this solve the issue:
Wiring both the Red and Yellow off the radio to the Orange from boat. The orange connects to the ACC and is how previous stereo worked. Would wiring both together fix this issue?

Thanks folks!

Here is a after. I had to cut the fiberglass and dash on each side. It only had an opening for the original stereo cassette deck...so 4.5" originally. That was a pain in the ass and absolute mess.

Different manufacturers use different color codes and wiring schemes.

You can not rely on color codes. You connect function to function.

Being lazy....Working off the top of my head

The yellow wire is for memory back up. Goes to boat Main power (red)

The red power wire (radio) goes to boat ACC (orange)
