Just had a new stereo installed in my pontoon boat but even if you turn the head off and the display shuts down, music still playing? It is suppose to be wired to a on/off switch but even if you turn the kill switch off on the dash it is still playing and drawing power from the battery which runs it dead in a few days. I am really not a wizz with wires but I thought I would see what feed back I could get from here.

That is a really weird problem. Sounds like your head unit has a faulty on/off switch. As far as wiring goes, it's simple. Hot wire from radio to fuse box/w a 2amp fuse, ground wire to common ground. If you don't want to pay out for another radio you can install a switch on the hot wire between the fuse box and the radio. Are you running any kind of amp? If you are the amp should be turned on and off via a blue wire from the head unit to the amp controlled by the head unit's on/off switch.

Nope, no amp, just straight radio and 4 speakers, I will look at the wires tonight, hopefully I can figure something out, begining to be a pain to unhook battery every Sunday night.

That's a problem with the head unit/faceplate.
