New Suzuki DF115 - Throttle Sensitivity

We just took delivery of a pontoon boat with the DF115 engine last week. After a couple of uses I have two questions:

1. The throttle ramps up very quickly with initial movement of the throttle lever -- it is difficult to select an engine speed between 750 rpm and 2000 rpm. Is this typical or adjustable? With very careful movement I can get to an intermediate speed, but it is really sensitive.

2. In gear at idle speed there is a slow vibration from the engine area as if the shaft was bent. The engine doesn't appear to be shaking at idle. But give it any throttle at all and the vibration goes away.

1. No, not normal. Bring back to dealer. Idle speed should be 650RPM.

2. That vibration should go away once you get some time on the engine, but all 4-strokes have some vibration at low speeds. How much you feel is usually determined by boat contruction.
