I've got a 1975 18' Mark Twain with an I/O. We use this boat for tubing, skiing, wakeboading... I was thinking of installing a swim platform on the back. Can anyone suggest a manufacturer or place to get one. I want something that will take the punishment of being used on a weekly basis. We are a big family (8 of us) so there is normally at least 5 people getting in and out of this boat.

I made one from some steel stock I had laying around 3/4 inch angle, and 1/2 solid round for the rails, then I used a piece of 1/2 ply wood ( well painted on all sides) the covered the plywood in a scrap of carpet from when I redid the boats interior.

I know some of you are thinking "steel" It ways around 8 pounds ( not to bad ). I took it in and had it powder coated for $15.00 the whole thing would be around $30.00. Boaters World has them for neer $100.00

Hope this helps some. I like mine it's TOUGH

You can get a teak platform on ebay,I have seen them many times before and they are reasonable. If you want fiberglass you can have one custom made like I did at swimplatforms.com They did fantastic work and I could not be happier.Mine was a pretty good size one, about 110 inches wide by 32 inches and it cost approx $1600.Charlie
