new tach

i am replacing an omc tach on a 73 evinrude 115 and not sure what pole to set it at........the replacement gauge only goes to year 77.
any help?

thanks. it only has settings for 1,2,3,4,5 (for # poles 4,6,8,10,12).......so i'm guessing to set it at #2?
