We have older ('60s) Johnson/Evinrude 40-75 hp motors and the (Teleflex) tachs I see in Cabela's marine catalog say "direct plug-in" wire harness for J/E engines. Are they talking about recent engines only? Do they generally include hookup directions for the older models as well? I haven't contacted Cabela's or Teleflex yet to ask them (well, I did ask yesterday when I was in Cabela's, but they didn't know).
