New Thermostat & PCV

1999 Yamaha 90C, first time I've changed the thermostat and Pressure Control Valve, yesterday. I run mostly fresh water, but some brackish and saltwater, there was a good bit of mineral deposits, calcium, corrosion, in and around the Pressure Control Valve and the Thermostat. I cleaned it out and popped the new one in, no problem. But considering the deposits, etc., I definitely plan on replacing these items more often, like every 3 to 5 years or so, and like the water pump impeller, really need to replace these items Before they fail....just been lucky so far, I guess!
