Can anyone tell me where to look up a way to figure out what gear is in the upper unit of an Alpha One with out opening up the upper unit? I was thinking that if I turn the shaft a complete turn the prop shaft should turn "X" amount for each of the 4 or 5 different gear ratios. Maybe it is so small of a difference after just one turn that I would need to turn it 10 times or so to get a good measurement? Any suggestion even if it is just to tell me how to post this question properly? Thanks, Chazzzzzzzzzz <*}}}}><

I think you will be better off to post it in the I/O section.
I think if you turn the motor by hand, carefully, you can find the exact overall ratio.
And those at the I/O forum may be able to tell what the upper ratio should be.
