So now that the drain plug debacle is over, I thought I'd post some pics of my new boat.

Slickcraft SS170V with a 135 Johnson. It will need a floor this winter, but it will do for the summer just fine!

It has a cool Gator trailer and it and the boat appear to be well cared for. I hope to say the same for the motor, but it seems to run well on the muffs.

My camera takes horrible pics, but that ok since it's so dirty right now anyway! Better pics when it's buffed etc!

With that 135 on there with the CMC trim unit, that boat should fly!

Um, not to be a party pooper here but what is that rated for? My first new boat I boat in 1974, it was a ss16 with a 70hp chrysler and was rated for a max of 40hp. It flew and did what I wanted which was skiing as many as we could fit from behind. We grew up on browns lake in racine county and a few of the people we skied with became some of the first aquaduck ski team. Tiny overpowered the boat for me but with a severe warning. If I wasn't young and stupid I would never have done that. So check your plate. The insurance companies and lawyers will have a field day with you today. Plus the long arm of the law may put you in jail if someone is injured on an overpowered boat. Just my .02

Oh sure I understand that. It's rated for 100hp. I've already considered selling this motor for something smaller.
