Sold our 1972 Sea Ray 19' fiberglass a few years ago when I had some kids, now they are getting older and I wanted a boat for me and dad to get out on the lake (Erie) and go after the perch and walleye. We have always wanted and aluminum, so we scanned craigslist for a couple weeks looking for one. Came across this one that was priced higher than others its age and size, but the motor was really nice and the PO was an electrical engineer and completely rewired the boat, installed lots of new things and keep really good records of it. before buying I took it to a Platinum Evinrude dealer and had them check the motor, only 67 hours on it and in great shape. Floor and transom are solid.

Plan to dock it locally here this year, going in the water saturday. Also in the process of building a removable casting deck for front, so it can be set up for dad and i fishing, or taking the wife and girls out for a ride. Installed a Lowrance mark 4 HDI, johnson bilge pump with ultra switch, 27 series battery for starting and bilge, 24 series for fishfinder accessories. I plan to use the covers that you see while it's docked, hoping that will keep most of the rain and bird crap out of it. Let me know what you think

Specs- 1982 16ss, 2006 Evinrude ETEC 90HP, 1986 Yacht club trailer

That is one of the cleanest unrestored Tinnys I think I have ever seen. She looks great congrats.

Oh man that is a very nice piece of vintage tin mixed with new. I do have to wonder why the guy thought he needed to bore holes in the AC plate and stick on that huge whale tail thing?

Most impressive. That is a really sweet looking SS. I am thinking of building a casting deck for ours. I would love to see what you come up with.

Thanks everyone, I was nervous showing it off to the starmada. I wish the PO hadn't installed the hydrofoil too, but I'm guessing he did it to make it plane out faster. Can't wait to get this thing in the water in 2 days. Supposed to be 74 degree and 0% chance of rain!
