Ther is no bad, Bennington is widely considered the best pontoon out there.

Being 11 years old is the only "problem" and if it was taken care of that isn't one.

A 20'er with a 90 should be a really good boat, nice combo, not to heavy but lots of power.

Thanks... well it seems to be very well taken care of,I bought it from a retired couple that is moving out of state and they were good friends with the owner of the marina and they have all the maint records.. this is my first pontoon and just wondered what to expect and anything I should be looking for.

thanks Ron

5150abf works for Bennington so He really should post an honest disclosure for posts such as this. :^)

Bennington is however one of the higher quality boats out there. You should be fine with it. (But a little underpowered in my opinion)

Water in the tubes is about the only thing that would create an issue as far as the boat itself is concerned.

Around here the Bennington is regarded as the primo barge. If you do get water in the toons you can have them pressure tested and repaired good as new (almost) for around a c note. That's what it costs in my neck of the woods any way.

In my defense that statment is true whether I work there or not, yes, I am a little bias but we are still the best pontoon on the water.

I believe Bennington is the best pontoon as well. I was at the boat show this year and met the owners son. he showed me why Bennington is as good as they are, they are built with top quality.

The statement you made was an absolute. And, like all absolutes, it's false. You could have said that Bennington is recognized as one of the top boats, or that Bennington was rated #1 or 2 by JD Powers for the last 7 years or something similar and been totally truthful.

I'm perfectly happy with my Manitou (also rated #1 or 2 by JD Powers for the last 7 years) and don't really care if anyone else ever buys another one. But I do care about truthfulness.

The fact that you work there casts doubt on your impartiality to make a true judgement as to the "best" status of the boats. (again, nothing personal, just like seeing things stated accurately)

That said, I'll drop this line of discussion. As I told the OP, the benningtons are good boats. :^)
