Hello
We just purchased a small home on a small inland midwest lake. Included was a 2003 Hurrican Fun Deck 226 one owner boat with a Merc 115 HP. The HIN is GDYP7573E303. I am not sure if it is a FF, REE or REF model. I'd greatly appreciate any info anyone can share on finding out if from the HIN I can find out which specific submodel I have.

regards and happy 2010 Boating Season!

Re: New to me Hurricane 226

Hi. We just purchased a 2006 Hurricane 226 RE 4 gate. With a 150hp Yamaha. I understand it, the RE Models have a Full Playpen area all the way to the bow. The REF models are styled for fishing. They have a shorter playpen and usually have a pair of fishing seats mounted on the bow platform, in fron to the playpen gate. And usually equiped with Bait wells. The FF designates the model as a "Fun Deck" I hope this info helps

Bill,
I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 Hurricane 226re with a 150 hp 4 stroke. It has less than 200 hours. Extra features
Superior Package
Hydraulic Steeling
Ski Tow Bar
Digital Depth Finder
Dual Battery Switch
Playpen cover
Tilt Steering
Changing Room
Bimini Top
Full cover
Sirius Radio upgrade with added antenna

They are asking $16,500. Seems a little hight to me. Do you mind me asking what you paid for yours?

Seems to be reasonably priced. I assume that price includes trailer? That 150HP 4 Stroke would be a good chunk of the $16,500 to buy new so factoring that, with a trailer, and 5 year old boat if in good condition and solid mechanically is a good price in my opinion.
