I just picked up a new to me boat. Its a 99 2870 Pursuit with twin 225s. I have only had mercruiser power before now so these are going to be a whole new world. I have a few Questions

#1 Is a service manual and Owners Manual available online?

#2 I was told that I cold use any TC-W3 2 stroke oil. Any reason to buy the more expensive stuff?

#3 Chartplotter Conectivity. The boat has the digital gauges including the fuel management gauge from yamaha. do you know if this year might have an output that is compatible with the inputs on the new chartplotters? The info is there, (since its being displayed by the yamaha gauge) I just dont know if it can communicate.

#4 Anything else I should ask? ;)

Thanks for any help. We are pretty excited!

You can find manuals here http://www.yamahapubs.com/

I do not know about the gauges

More expensive oil is usually the synthetic and I believe it burns cleaner,
Stick to one brand so you are not mixing different ones in tanks
