I am a new Sea Ray owner, bought a 1987 21 ft. seville cuddy cabin from Lake Lanier Ga. fresh water use only, it has the merc 165 4 cyl. looks to be in excellent shape. Question for you guys with cuddy cabin, there is not a anchor on board and if i get one where will it be stored and/or used.

Re: New To Sight

In my cabin there is an area under the forward cushion in the bow that i think is where it goes, there are 2 bolts protruding thru the floor in the v up front and i believe that has something to do with the anchor. I just wish i knew so i could put it where it belongs. Also do you just take the anchor and rope out from the cabin and tie it off on the bow rails or should i get the rail anchor set-up and leave the anchor on the bow and just store the rope below? Any advice is appreciated.

Re: New To Sight

Welcome to iboats. Glad to see another new Sea Ray owner. On Your question about the anchor being tied off to bow rail, i would think that you should have cleats on the front and back of the boat. You should tie the anchor off to the cleats if you have them, not the rail. As far as where to keep anchor and rope is up to you. Where ever you have space on the boat. I usually keep mine with my extra ropes and bumpers in a ski locker or under a seat as stated in previous reply. Good luck to you and if you don't have cleats you can buy them at any marine store or even WalMart and mount them on boat.
