Re: new to wakeboarding
If you are trying to get up, there are only a few things you need to keep in mind.
If you are just getting started you will want your driver to accelerate slowly at first so you can feel the board, then hammer down a little, to help you get up.
The main thing about getting up is, the boat is doing all the work, you are essentially doing nothing but tweaking your body position a little.
So, you will want to be 'sitting down' in the water with your board in front of you, also you will want your elbows around your knees.
When you feel the boat start to pull you, start pointing your toes down just a little bit at a time until you feel the board planing or moving up towards the surface, then you want to start sitting up, so you are more even with the board, and if you keep that up you'll be on the water.
Now this will all happen in roughly 2-4 seconds, so it is more important to feel the board, than to try to think it through. Once you get up once, you'll know what to do - kinda like riding a bike.
If you need to see it visually there are tons of videos on youtube about getting up.
