Yes, after reading here, I decided to go the sunbrella route, after someone said they can easily last 30 years. $667 bucks wasn't what I wanted to spend, but I only want to spend it one time in the 10 years of owning this boat... well, unless the admiral wants a bigger one.

However, I just popped mine on today, and I was concerned that it seems the "main" seam going over the beam isn't closed in like the second photo shows on the other seams. The seam should be folded over and sewn and not open.

Should I be concerned? This is a 7 year warranty, (not full) but they will replace it up to 3 years 100%. I can just see this thing ragging out faster with the open side.

Thoughts appreciated, I don't think I'll trailer with this cover.

Call sunbrella and email pictures. It could have been friday at the factory that day!

look how wide the stitches are.......wow.....they were just whipping thru that.
700 clans is a lot of money for a tarp....sumbrella is 30 a yard
if you dont like it.....take it back and get a different one.

I would call sunbrella about it. Assuming you bought it directly from them. If not I would address the issue with whoever did the stiching

They promptly emailed and apologized upon seeing the pictures. Looks like there was no argument that the cover was done hastily.

Yes, running some more threads across it couldn't hurt. I wonder if I should address the felt not coming down the entire length of the windows. It's on top, but not hitting the bottom of the window. Maybe it's not a big deal?

No, it's a cover company, I couldn't buy directly from Sunbrella, but the factory will redo/repair the cover. I'm bringing up the felt issue with them as well, since it's gonna be a "Redo"... might as well "Redo" correctly.

Don't get that thing around any trees. Tree mold, sap, etc. breaks them down in a hurry.

Yeah, thats what the warranty was excluding. We're not in that situation, if you notice the boat yard, there isn't a tree for at least 2 rows over, and they are short texas mesquite trees that don't generally do much at a distance.

THere also was pooling of water as not covered, but that won't be an issue since I have a good pole structure system (less 80mph winds anyway! :)
