Hello all, with advice from all I have undertaken the long dirty job of removing an old rotted floor and transom. Now comes the fun part of putting it all back together. I will be repowering this 21 foot celebrity with a 350 v8 and an Alpha 1 stern drive. My question is regarding the mounting of the inner transom plate and gimball housing. The fiberglass exterior of the transom is very smooth and true. The gimball housing has the recessed gasket istalled. I would like to know if this installation requires any sealant of any kind or is it just a dryfit against the exterior glass?
