new transom?

What would it cost me me to get a new transom & installed by a pro. Cant do it myself. 16' starcraft alum.

Are you SURE you can't do it yourself? It's VERY easy on an aluminum Starcraft. Just remove your motor, remove the transom caps and trim, slide out (or shovel out) the old wood, make a cardboard template to fit, transfer the shape to new wood, seal the new wood, and put it all back together.

Basic price for replacement shoul be under $1500 inc. material.

Where are you located? Trust me it isn't as bad as it seems, unless you have no way of cutting wood, then I guess you would be in trouble...
