hi went out for a few days in my new 2007, 2102wa,great boat very happy with the way it handles the sea conditions, but there a few things i didnt like, the bait pump would pump water to the live tank inside the harbour but once out side the heads and into the sea it would not pump at all, would come good as soon as we came back inside the heads, dose anybody else have this problem ?
the second thing was i was getting alot of water in the boat with 3 people on board, all fishing at the back of the boat, think the water was coming in from the battery terminal hole in the engine well,is this normal and how can this be fixed, the first 2 days of fishing we were just chasing marlin with 2 on board and there wasnt any water in the boat, if you guys could give me some ideas it would be appreciated
cheers

Congratulations on your purchase and wish you well with it. I have a '96 2002 FF WA, which I can only assume is somewhat different than your '07. If I understand you correctly your aft bilge pump will work with the manual switch on the switch panel, but not automatically with the float switch. My bilge pump and switch is accessible through a round access cover in the wash area forward on the motor. First, obviously, determine if you have enough water in the bilge to activate the float switch. Next you can manually activate the float switch by lifting the flapper, if float switch is separate from bilge pump or twist a knob under the bilge pump if the float switch is attached to the bilge pump. Any doubt as to whether is working, replace it. The wiring is no different than a light switch in your house. Power in/ power out to the pump. The difficult part on my boat is stretching through this 8" cover to access everything. If it was on your kitchen table it would be done in minutes. I hope this quick overview is helpful. Good luck.

As for the water getting into the boat, for me I found out that the water leak into the boat around the cockpit drain holes. I found that the fittings for these drain holes, especially the fittings on the inside transom side do not form very good seals with the surfaces. And eventhough Trophy has seals around the inside of those drain holes fittings, I don't think they seal it very good. So I put some 3M 5200, or 4200, or was it 4000? I think it was 3M 4000 around and in the backside of those fittings. I found that the 3M 4000 does flow a little bit. So I just make sure that it flows to the space between the fittings and the boat surfaces as much as possible. Make sure you clean the area as much as you can before applying the 3M 4000 epoxy. Check out the thread "Rain water leaking into fishwell", and look at picture #4. It's not clear, but I think you can still see the white epoxy seals around the drain holes. That cut down the water leak into by my boat like 85-90%. For the remaining 10-15%, that's for whenever I have more time.

thanks for all the info apreciated,i can see its going to be a pain in the back side getting down into the bilge erea, was thinking of putting 2 more inspection port holes on the inside of the wash bay on the inside of the boat,[both sides] has anybody else done this, and is it possable to do it,would make life so much easier, also im thinking of putting another seacock in for the raw water pick up so i dont need to switch the tap over from the bait tank and raw water, think i found out where the water was coming in as well,i had the bait tank going for a fair while and it must of been over flowing and going into the bilge, what a stuff up that is,also thinking of putting an emergency bilge pump in just in case the main pump dies and running the water out where the battery leads go through the wash bay erea, then running the leads through the bilge erea, your thoughts on this will be handy, thanks again for your help
