I used info on this site extensively when I did some major work to a 1969 K&C Thermoglass bowrider I/O a number of years ago. The K&C is now up for sale as it is too big for my lifestyle (smaller lakes), and when I picked up my latest project I just had to come back here :D

I wonder if anyone has any info at all on this little unit. Here is a picture of what it looks like, but this is not the one I got - weather has turned wet here and I had to get it under wraps quickly. I'll get actual pictures up asap.

It is a ride on, jet-ski style craft rigged for an outboard. Steering looks suspiciously like a bicycle handlebar, and I think someone was doing some work on it and had stripped a bunch of parts off so there are no emblems or markings of any kind, and no throttle mechanism although the steering cables and pulleys are still in place
.
Mine looks very similar to the one in the picture but is entirely fiberglass molded in 2 halves. The one from that article is made of wood.
It definitely is NOT an early jet ski converted for outboard use. There is absolutely zero evidence that there ever was an inside mounted engine or any evidence of a jet drive hole that was filled in.

Although my entire fiberglass structure seems very sound, I do have my work cut out for me.
Transom will have to be replaced
going to have to separate the upper/lower halves to reseal (there was moss growing all over the rub rail)
gel coat is badly oxidized - good thing it isn't a full size boat!
there are 2 very small cracks in the lower front that will need attention before putting it in the water.

Anyone have any experience or info on this type of watercraft?

It looks like it would be a blast on the water.

One thing that concerns me is that if you fall off that prop is going to be a danger. One of the first things I am going to set up is a safety lanyard for engine kill as it doesn't appear to have one
