My VRO pump is leaking. I have read that part of the pump is serviceable and part is not however I don't know which end I am dealing with. I have included a photo pointing to the leak. This is on a 1992 Evinrude 90HP TE90TLEND. Thanks in advance.

that is a VRO 2 pump, i would just replace it with the new more dependable, OMS pump. i know they are pricey, but a much better pump.

Re: New VRO or Rebuild?

Sorry, I guess I should have specified. The VRO has been disconnected and I'm premixing. The engine runs fine however the area I indicated is leaking when you prime the system. The bulb will not stay solid but the boat still runs fine. My concern is the fuel leak inside the cover with all the potential for fire. Based on my estimates the cost of a rebuild kit is less expensive than converting to the older style pump. Is my leak on the "serviceable" side of the pump and if so are part numbers 435921 and 436095 the ones I need for this model?

If the leak is on the fuel side it's servicable with a rebuild kit. Mine has been working fine since rebuild. Go to maxrules.com. I got my kit there. Good quality and lots of good information.
