Hey all. I'll try to keep this short and simple.
Installed a new w/p for my old 88 mercury 90 HP, 3 cylinder. Afterwards, i got water leaking through the speedo hole, the shift shaft hole, and a few other holes.
I got new gaskets for it. One goes on the cover of the WP, and one for under the plate. I also got a tube seal to direct the water to the powerheads.
Question is, what do I use on the gaskets? The tube seal? Should I use RTV silicone? Or oil? what kind?
And, if i'm still getting water from these areas, think it'd ok to run the engine like this? I'd like to have a little fun from this boat if possible!
Thanks!
Timothy
