engine - 87 Force 125

So I installed a new water separator the other day. I was able to get the engine started on land fine so I figured all was well, not. I took the boat to the lake today and put it in and had the bulb primed and could not get it to start. I took the boat out and headed to wal-mart figuring it was the old bulb but I removed the water separator because it was noon and wanted to get out on the water so I added a can of sea foam for the ethanol.

Anyway I had to take the boat with me versus leaving it at the ramp area because the battery died (arghhh) what a day.

Anyway I hooked the water separator up correctly with the arrows pointing towards the bulb/engine.

Is it possible to get air lock with the water separator?

My day got worse because my son flooded the engine on a restart and we ended up with a dead battery again (arghhh) thank goodness for great neighbors, my neighbor hooked up and brought his boat out with a fresh battery. I was not able to get it started right away so we hooked up for a tow and a little bit into the tow I was able to get it cranked "yay"

The battery issue is corrected I have a 2ND battery charging in the garage now along with the main battery.

Oh yeah I made my first big mistake in all the anger at the boat I jumped out to hook up the bow and the trunk was in reverse!!! whew I jumped back in in time or this post would be a sob story of my 08 trailblazer at the bottom of the lake, I'll never do that again, (P) = Park not (R) but I guess it was bound to happen to me eventually although I have been boating for some years.

I did that when I was a child. My father told me to hold the brake and I accidently pushed in the clutch. Didn't roll too far until I figured out which petal to push.
