Granddaughter's hubby came over today, He has a contractors liscense. Off to the lumber yard
4 14 foot 2x 6s. I wanted an honest 4" of wood not the 3 1/2" stuff they sell now days. Man that
kid cut them boards up, laid them on the trailer, started drillin, counter sinking. The old coot
followed with bolts, washers, and nylocks. Bout one hour, hour and a half my trailer has new wood.
I am totally pooped. Regards, old jim

My trailer is seting in the yard needing to be finished up. Last year it got new lights, a rewire, new winch strap, and new tires, and now I need to break out the grinder, wire brush and sander, and new wood wouldnt hurt while im at it.

Yeah, I believed about three years ago I put regular 2X4's pine wood on mine and it has worked wonderfully with marine carpet stapled to it with an opening along the bottom to drain of water to keep it from rotting too soon.

Used HD's outdoor carpet, staples said rust proof. Did 3 sides of the bunks, the carpet
seems a little loose inspite of my attempts to keep it tight. Tommytoon would care to
elaborate on the plastic stuff you used? Regards, old jim
