Re: New yammie or similar

Hi,
Yamaha F115 4-stroke is a rather proven outboard by now.
It has been on the market since 1999.
I use a F115 2003. Only problem I had with it was I did not know I had to put some grease on the trim pistons once in a while (otherwise the Trim&Tilt is noicy). Other than that it is an excellent outboard, as Suzuki DF115 or DF140 and Mercury 115 EFI.
Some more info about Yamaha F115 differences over the years:
http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=30;t=003252#000002

Yamaha 130 hp 2-stroke is also a nice "old technology" (2-stroke, carburator) outboard if You prefer that.
