It's been a tradition here started by Bald Eagle Water Ski Shows many years ago, that is carried on today by the MN Ice Busters. Air temp here New Years Day was -5 F or so. The high temp was +1 F.
While I have participated many times in this event, negative temperatures just don't enthuse me and I wasn't there this year.
