I picked up this boat a month ago, its my first boat a 1994 chris craft concept 217, 5.8 cobra efi, it had 310 hours and was only used at Big Bear lake its whole life its in excellent condition even the upolstery is like new. I got it for 3900.00. From the original owners.

I want to get a bimini top for it but having a hard time finding something to fit,

I was wondering if anyone knows what type of ski tower this is? there is no name on it and I thought possibly it would be easier to find one if I knew the model/make of it.

I'm tickled with this purchase, I have had it in Parker AZ at the river for a couple weeks now and it runs great and is very good on fuel (I'm used to sea doos) I cant seem to find much on these boats, was it a good deal?

looks like a custom rig, theres no way to mount a bimini with that in place..so the decision you have to make is..cool or COOL...

Are looking for a bimini that mounts to your tower? or just a standard one that mounts to either your windshield frame or inside of the windshield on the fiberglass? I don't see an issue to be honest. I believe you can call most manufacturers and order one to the measurements you need. I prefer Taylor Made myself give them a try? http://www.biminitops.cc/cgi-bin/standard.pl

Congrats on the boat looks like you did very good!

I have looked online at the ones that mount to the tower and the "a-b-c" measurements dont seem to be within the specs of this tower, I'm thinking of maybe buying one that will fit inside the windshield area and make it fit.

I'm enjoying it very much, funny in the ad for the boat they said it had a 275 chevy cosby engine? Much to my liking it had the 5.8 ford as I am a ford guy, I checked the numbers on the omc drive and it is indeed the SX volvo/omc one (my wife sheared the prop clean off the second day out on rocks) we dont go to that part of the river anymore.........luckily just ate the alum prop.

There's no reason why you can't get one that mounts inside the windshield how ever I will tell you that I had one and when I hit chop at an angle the bimini uprights would make contact with the windshield frame and kinda make a knock or bang depending on how hard they hit. I have since upgraded boats and on this boat the bimini is mounted to the windshield frame and I like it much better. Also the front strap loop for the bimini is on the windshield frame as well, the only part of the bimini that contacts fiberglass is the rear strap loops. So food for thought.

Probably have a hard time finding one that will fit right to the tower. You can get one that will fit under the tower. Unless the mounts are already on the windshield frame, I would advise against trying to mount to it, one wrong move and the glass is toast. IF you could find a replacement it would be costly. You can mount on the inside of the glass or the outside. I got mine from right here at I Boats. Not a problem yet after 3 yrs. it fits tight under my tower looks custom and was super easy to install myself(1 1/2 hrs). Mine is on the outside of the windshield mounted to the fiberglass. Like above it does occasionally contact the tower on certian waves but I put some colored pad in those areas and it seems fine. Part of the problem with the ones that mount right to the tower is typically they are on the small side and they are very expensive imo.
