Not solving an issue, just looking for the right prop. 2020 Manitou Aurora, 25’. Mercury 150 4 stroke on her. Found a stainless steel Enertia 15 x 15, came with the hub kit on the right in the pic. The one on the left is the current hub - Flo Torq 2. What’s the difference? The Flo Torq 2 work fine with this prop? Yep

The thrust washer and nut are the same, the one on the right has a 2 piece drive sleeve and longer center adapter, same 15 spline.

Heads up….. the prop chatter on my Enertia 15 x 15 was horrible with the flo-torque hub. The prop rang like a bell.

Switched the Flo-Torque out for a Rubex rubber hub. The chatter is not completely gone, but tolerable

Like the prop thou

That’s not what I want to hear. Can either of these hubs be used? I have an aluminum 16x13 that came on it. Tried a 14.5 x 15 vengeance but only hit 23-24 mph at 5900 rpm. The aluminum hits 28-29 mph at 5800 rpm

Yes either can be used , if it chatters it only hurts your ears . You can get a rubber hub like mentioned merc also makes a flo torq ssr hub for their heavier props like the enertia etc. try with what you have and upgrade if needed

going up 2” in pitch and to a prop with more bite like enertia your wot rpms may drop down to 5300-5500 or so. What is the reccomeded wot rpm for your engine , you want to make sure what ever prop you end up with is in that range, preferably on the higher side of it

Thanks for the info, I love these forums! The tab washer is different on the III, it has the 6 upright tabs as opposed to the 2 fold up tabs. How is that installed?

The Flo-Toque 2 works, but the hub is hard plastic. Amplifiers prop chatter at low speeds. Used it for 1/2 season before switching to the Rubex.

The Enertia is good performing prop for my setup.

Offshore hull, #5k, 200 HP outboard. 30 mph@4300 rpm. 39.999 mph@5800.

Your geared a lot lower than I

Range is 5000-5800. The 14.5 15P Vengeance lacked speed at 5900/5950. Hoping the 15x15 would get a little more speed and drop me just below max rpm. Guess we’ll see

Maybe I think you are seeing that the bigger diamter (16) Aluminum is needed to push this boat. The vengence is really a stainless version of a black max, I think a cheap way for dealers to get something shinny on there.

The eneria should bite better and your engine has a fairly broad WOT range so much have a fairly flat power curve.

Let us know how it works out. Enertias get good reviews here but i dont think Ive seen any one comment on how they work on a toon. If it doesnt work maybe try a Revolution 4 since you had best results with a big 16" . I have had really good luck with a Rev 4 on my sea ray 200

May not put it on this weekend, going to be pretty loaded on the 4th so I won’t get push it. I thought the vengeance felt good, just don’t think it was big enough to push the big tritoon. The Enertia was highly recommended, surprised I found one. Once I figure out the hub I’ll update.

Update - put the 15 x 15 on today and headed out. RPM at WOT adjusting trim to get the most out of it was 5150/5200. Speed topped at 28.5, between 27-28 consistently. Water wasn’t too bad, little choppy and 4 adults on board

This is an enertia eco prop. Not to be confused with the notoriously fast normal enertia. Still a great prop though for certain hulls and heavy boats. Usually need a fair bit of power and torque to turn them well though. A 15x15 will definitely behave differently to a normal diameter prop of same pitch like the vengeance. On that subject…the vengeance is in my opinion, a complete gimic of a prop. Total waste of time and most times I’ve seen…actually sees poorer performance than you would from a standard black max ally the same pitch. Hate them. Just for show, at their best.
on the hub matter. There is a new type hub kit that reduces the prop rattle. Can’t remember what it’s called though. It’s a merc product. Made a difference for sure with my tempest plus.
