Newbie Question - Oil Drip

I just got our new to us Tahoe back from having the 100hr service done. I had it done so that I would know what I'm starting out with as we are planning to splash it for the first time this week. Anyway, I got it home Saturday, backed it in the garage, let the foot down, and Sunday morning I notice a couple of drops of oil on the floor. Not much mind you, but it's never dripped before. I put a piece of cardboard under it and this morning it had a very tiny spot. So my question is, is this something I should be worried about, or could it be just dripping from where they drained it (kind of like when you change the oil in a car, dripping off the oil pan).
Thanks in advance.

Sniff it :D Is it motor oil or gear oil? Gear oil stinks!! It might be some residue from the oil change or it could be a concern. I would also call the shop and let them know.

Re: Newbie Question - Oil Drip

First, wipe down any excess oil on the outside of the outdrive. See if you still get drips. If so, I'd check the drain and fill plugs on the outdrive. They are round plugs with a slot in them for a screwdriver. First, check to see they are tight (just snug, not gorilla tight). If they are, you can remove them and check the o-ring on the back side. Leave the top plug in while you check the lower one and you won't lose much oil. Be sure to check level after you put the lower plug back in. If it's not coming from the plugs, you may have bigger issues, but check them first.
